Saving & reference therefore to my despatch No. 1805 of 8th August, in which I have informed you that the amount to be appropriated from that Fund for Police purposes must be limited to $30,000 per annum, I infer that you will not press your present suggestion to be acted on.
Should I be mistaken in this inference, I shall be ready to use my best endeavors to give effect to your wishes.
